Overview
Delete All Named Destinations removes every named destination from the active PDF: the modern destination name tree and any legacy destination table older tools may have written. The confirmation states how many destinations are about to go.
How to use
- Open the PDF.
- Go to Plug-Ins > Utilities > Named Destinations > Delete All Named Destinations.
- Confirm the deletion. A message reports how many destinations were removed.
- Save the document to keep the change.
Warning
Links and bookmarks that point at a named destination stop working when the destination is deleted — they keep the name, but the name no longer resolves to a page. This cannot be undone; if you confirm by mistake, close the document without saving.
Tip
To keep a record before deleting, run Export Named Destinations to Text File first — the exported file re-imports with every view intact.
