Overview
Remove All Page Labels deletes the active document's entire page-label table, so every page falls back to its natural numbering (1, 2, 3…). Use it to clear out labels left behind by earlier numbering runs — Bates stamps, roman-numeral front matter, chapter prefixes — in one step.
How to use
- Open the PDF.
- Go to Plug-Ins > Pages > Remove All Page Labels.
- Confirm the removal. A message reports whether labels were removed.
- Save the document to keep the change.
Note
If the document has no page labels, the command says so and changes nothing. No confirmation is shown in that case.
Warning
Removing labels cannot be undone from within the document; if you confirm by mistake, close the document without saving. Page content is never touched — only the numbering shown in Acrobat's page navigation changes.
