Overview
Check Tagging is an Adobe Acrobat plug-in that reports, for each PDF, whether it has a tag structure, which PDF/UA version it declares, and which PDF/A version and conformance level it declares. Check the document you have open, a single file, or every PDF in a folder and its subfolders.
Results appear in a message box for a single document, or in a CSV report you can open in Excel, with a progress bar and a summary count for folder scans. Check Tagging reports what each document declares; to validate the content itself against PDF/UA or PDF/A, use a full validator.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I check whether a PDF is tagged?
Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat and choose Check Tagging from the Mapsoft plug-ins menu. To check many files at once, choose a folder instead, and Check Tagging writes the results for every PDF to a CSV report.
Does Check Tagging validate PDF/UA or PDF/A?
