Digitally Signed Software

All Mapsoft installers and software are digitally signed, so you can be confident that what you download is authentic and untampered.

Authenticity

The digital signature guarantees that the software was published by Mapsoft Computer Services Limited and no one else.

Integrity

If the file has been altered or corrupted since it was signed, Windows will warn you that the signature is invalid.

Industry Standard

We use an industry-standard code signing certificate to sign all our executables and installers.

Certificate Details

All Mapsoft installers and executables are signed using an industry-standard code signing certificate issued to Mapsoft Computer Services Limited. This certificate is issued by a trusted Certificate Authority and is recognised by Windows, ensuring a smooth and secure installation experience.

How to Verify the Signature

You can verify the digital signature on any Mapsoft installer in Windows by following these steps:

Step 1

Right-click the installer .exe file and select Properties.

Step 2

Go to the Digital Signatures tab.

Step 3

Select the signature in the list and click Details.

Step 4

Confirm that the signer is Mapsoft Computer Services Limited and that the digital signature is valid.

Windows SmartScreen

When downloading software from the internet, Windows SmartScreen may display a prompt the first time you run an installer. This is normal behaviour for newly downloaded files and is not a security concern when the digital signature is valid.

If you see a SmartScreen prompt, click "More info" and then "Run anyway". You can verify the publisher shown is Mapsoft Computer Services Limited before proceeding.
