What’s New in the Beta
Mapsoft PDF Compositor is the new name for TOCBuilder v2. Version 2.1.0 Beta 1 is a public beta — please tell us about anything that looks wrong, or anything you would like to see, using the beta feedback form. Every submission is read by the developers.
- Works with Acrobat Protected Mode switched on. Adobe removes the option to turn Protected Mode off in December 2026 — what this means for your plug-ins.
- Keyboard shortcuts no longer clash with Acrobat’s. Every shortcut now uses Ctrl+Shift on a key Acrobat leaves free — for example, Ctrl+Shift+1 opens TOC Builder.
- Commands that need no document work with none open, including Merge, Watch Folder and the Regular Expression Library.
- Existing output files are never replaced without asking. Split, Extract and Merge ask whether to replace them, number the new files, or stop.
- More than 150 fixes from a review of every menu.
Help has moved to the PDF Compositor documentation, including the TOC Builder and Bookmarker user guides.
